We never imagined the audience would be so deeply moved—reading the episode while listening to the music. It was truly mesmerising.

The melody… the song the cinema hero once sang to his blind beloved.

Some audience members wrote to me saying how much they appreciated our classroom episode. They even shared the conversation along with the meaning of the song.

That inspired me to share the same music again—this time in its sad version. It felt purposeful, as if to remind us how often the world misunderstands the very teacher who tries to guide it rightly.

In the story, a group of serious university students in a brown train carriage meet the cinema hero again. Because of their noisy disturbance, he sings the same song—but now in quiet shame for them.

“What is the point of gaining the whole world while ignoring the soul?” — echoing the alarming question of Lord Jesus.

We are not even like the blind girl he loved and sang for. Without knowing him, she sincerely prayed for a soulmate, and through her innocence the story offered a moral to everyone.

Yet we fail to understand the melody, the worth, and the purpose of that mesmerising musical poem.

A gentle warning to students:

Unless we become conscious of the soul and grateful to the Giver of the soul, we wander anxiously—living mechanically: eating, mating, learning, earning, defending, offending—like restless passengers in a train who think they are educated simply because they attend university.

And yet, something beautiful happens.

The same noisy crowd is suddenly stilled and inspired by the soul-stirring power of the music.

The film became profoundly successful—by the grace of that gracious music.

Because, in the end, they recognised the Energy behind all our energies.

வணக்கம் 👋 இன்று நீங்கள் எப்படி இருக்கிறீர்கள்?

இந்த நிகழ்வைப் படித்தபடியே இசையை கேட்ட போது, பார்வையாளர்கள் இவ்வளவு ஆழமாக பாதிக்கப்படுவார்கள் என்று நாம் ஒருபோதும் நினைக்கவில்லை. அது உண்மையிலேயே மெய்மறக்கச் செய்தது.

அந்த மெலடி… சினிமா நாயகன் தனது குருட்டுப் பிரியருக்குப் பாடிய அதே பாடல்.

சிலர் எங்களுக்கு எழுதிப் பாராட்டினர். நமது வகுப்பறை நிகழ்வை அவர்கள் மிகவும் ரசித்ததாகவும், பாடலின் அர்த்தத்துடன் உரையாடலையும் பகிர்ந்ததாகவும் தெரிவித்தனர்.

அது என்னை அதே இசையை மீண்டும் பகிரத் தூண்டியது—இந்த முறை அதன் சோக வடிவில். உலகம் எவ்வாறு சரியான ஆசிரியரைத் தவறாகப் புரிந்துகொள்கிறது என்பதை நினைவூட்டும் நோக்கத்துடன் அது இருந்தது.

கதையில், பழுப்பு நிற ரயில் பெட்டியில் பயணம் செய்த பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்கள் மீண்டும் அந்த நாயகனை சந்திக்கிறார்கள். அவர்களின் சத்தம் காரணமாக, அவர் அதே பாடலை மீண்டும் பாடுகிறார்—இம்முறை அவர்களுக்கான அமைதியான வெட்கத்துடன்.

மாணவர்களுக்கு ஒரு மென்மையான எச்சரிக்கை:

ஆன்மா குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு பெற்று, ஆன்மாவை அளித்தவருக்கு நன்றி கூறாவிட்டால், நாம் இயந்திரமாகவே வாழ்வோம்—உண்பது, சேருவது, கற்றல், சம்பாதித்தல், பாதுகாத்தல், தாக்குதல்—ரயிலில் பயணம் செய்யும் சஞ்சலமான பயணிகளைப் போல.

ஆனால் இறுதியில் ஒரு அழகான மாற்றம் நிகழ்கிறது.

அதே சத்தமான கூட்டம், அந்த ஆன்மாவை உலுக்கும் இசையால் அமைதியடைந்து உந்தப்படுகிறது.

அந்த திரைப்படம் மிகப் பெரிய வெற்றியைப் பெற்றது—அந்த அருள்மிகு இசையின் அருளால்.

ஏனெனில் இறுதியில், அவர்கள் எல்லா ஆற்றல்களுக்கும் பின்னால் உள்ள ஆற்றலை உணர்ந்தனர்.

Nous n’avions jamais imaginé que le public serait si profondément touché en lisant l’épisode tout en écoutant la musique. C’était vraiment envoûtant.

La mélodie… la chanson que le héros du film avait chantée à sa bien-aimée aveugle.

Certains spectateurs m’ont écrit pour dire combien ils avaient apprécié notre épisode en classe. Ils ont même partagé la conversation avec la signification de la chanson.

Cela m’a inspiré à partager à nouveau la même musique — cette fois dans sa version triste. Comme pour nous rappeler combien le monde comprend mal le véritable enseignant qui cherche à le guider.

Dans l’histoire, un groupe d’étudiants universitaires, dans un wagon brun, rencontre à nouveau le héros. À cause de leur bruit, il chante la même chanson — mais cette fois avec une honte silencieuse pour eux.

« À quoi sert de gagner le monde entier si l’on ignore l’âme ? » — faisant écho à la question de Jésus.

Nous ne sommes même pas comme la jeune fille aveugle qu’il aimait. Sans le connaître, elle priait sincèrement pour un compagnon d’âme, et par son innocence, l’histoire offrait une morale à tous.

Pourtant, nous ne comprenons pas la mélodie, la valeur, ni le but de cette musique poétique.

Un avertissement doux aux étudiants :

Sans conscience de l’âme et sans gratitude envers Celui qui la donne, nous errons mécaniquement — manger, s’accoupler, apprendre, gagner, défendre, offenser — comme des passagers agités d’un train qui pensent être éduqués.

Et pourtant, quelque chose de beau se produit.

La même foule bruyante est soudainement apaisée et inspirée par la puissance de cette musique qui touche l’âme.

Le film connut un immense succès — grâce à cette musique pleine de grâce.

Car, à la fin, ils ont reconnu l’Énergie derrière toutes nos énergies.

අපි කිසිදා සිතුවේ නැහැ, මෙම කථාව කියවමින් එකම වේලාවේ සංගීතය ඇසූ විට, ප්‍රේක්ෂකයින් මෙතරම් ගැඹුරින් ස්පර්ශ වේවි කියා. එය සැබවින්ම මනස්කාන්ත විය.

එම මැලඩිය… සිනමා නායකයා තම අන්ධ ප්‍රියාවට ගායනා කළ ගීතය.

ඒ නිසාම මම එම සංගීතය නැවත බෙදාගැනීමට උද්යෝගිමත් වුණා — මෙවර එහි දුක්බර ස්වරූපයෙන්. ලෝකය සත්‍ය ගුරුවරයා වැරදි ලෙස තේරුම් ගැනීම මතක් කිරීමක් ලෙස.

කතාවේ, දුඹුරු දුම්රිය බොගියක ගමන් කරන විශ්වවිද්‍යාල සිසුන් පිරිස නැවතත් නායකයා හමුවෙයි. ඔවුන්ගේ ශබ්දය හේතුවෙන්, ඔහු එම ගීතය නැවත ගායනා කරයි — මෙවර ඔවුන් වෙනුවෙන් නිහතමානී ලජ්ජාවකින්.
