Many people may not fully understand why we feel such deep attraction and devotion toward Lord Krishna.
Wow! What a remarkable day it has been!
Today, we had the opportunity to meet some mesmerising university music students together with several energetic and talented dance students. After hearing about our devotional gathering, they arrived carrying beautifully handwritten Maha Mantras 🕉️ repeated 108 times.
One of them suddenly asked:
“So, unless we are in need, we would not even come here?”
I gently replied:
“Certainly, material poverty can sometimes become a gracious opportunity — a turning point leading us away from temporary material attachment and toward spiritual engagement. Gradually, this develops detachment from material illusion and awakens higher Atman education, enabling one to become a truly successful human being qualified for liberation from the endless cycle of birth and death.”
We would now like to share another unusual and unforgettable experience.
Where did it happen?
It took place at Krishna Home.
When?
Yesterday.
What was it about?
As usual, while we were discussing Bhakti-yoga and the invisible Supreme Spiritual Science beyond ordinary vision, something unexpected unfolded.
First, I decided to introduce each of the young women by explaining the beautiful spiritual meanings of their names, because surprisingly, they themselves did not know the deeper significance behind them.
To everyone’s amazement, all five of their names were connected to beloved devotees and divine consorts of Lord Krishna.
Could we ever have imagined such a coincidence?
At that moment, one young woman suddenly asked:
“Who is Lord Rama?”
I replied softly:
“He is an avatara — a divine incarnation.”
Then I gently asked them:
“But who is the original source of all avataras?”
They looked at me with curiosity and confusion, eagerly waiting for guidance.
Smiling lightly, I answered:
“Clearly, it is Krishna, dear young ladies.”
Immediately, another thoughtful question arose:
“Why did Krishna marry 16,108 wives, while Lord Rama accepted only one wife?”
Again, they were astonished.
I explained:
“When many deeply devoted souls prayed to Lord Rama, they desired a husband possessing divine principles, perfect character, unwavering compassion, and eternal dharma.
They prayed:
‘O Lord, if You are truly the Supreme Personality of Godhead, then one day please accept us as Your wives.’”
At that very moment, the room was filled with milk-white sheets containing handwritten Maha Mantras, carefully arranged inside soft pink folders. In the centre rested a beautiful ruby-red bag containing the sacred scripture, Bhagavad-gita As It Is.
I continued:
“Lord Rama lovingly replied:
‘Certainly. But you must patiently wait until My next avatara, when I appear as Krishna.’”
Thus, according to Vedic understanding, those devoted souls were later united with Lord Krishna in their next birth.
Suddenly, another woman entered the room.
She was dark-complexioned, dressed in red garments, and missing several front teeth. In a firm voice, she declared:
“If you wish to receive gifts, you must first work in the garden for one hour.”
The young women became startled and immediately prepared to leave.
I gently said:
“Please remain peaceful. First try to understand this crown jewel of spiritual knowledge concerning the soul. It is greater than temporary garden work.”
However, the woman in red strongly opposed this.
Then, one of the five girls laughed and remarked:
“First comes food, then the soul — without food, there is no soul.”
I was deeply surprised by how quickly their consciousness shifted.
Only moments earlier, they had been absorbed in spiritual emotion. Yet suddenly, they were prepared to neglect the very person arranging devotional service and gifts for them.
It saddened me to witness how spiritual efforts were being dismissed so carelessly.
So I lovingly reminded them:
“Please listen carefully — divinity does not arise from matter. Rather, all material existence originates from the Divine Supreme Father.”
I continued:
“Please keep an open heart. Try to understand the doorway leading toward our true eternal home.
Do not remain closed-minded. Listen carefully, learn sincerely, and allow both the Atman and Paramatma to guide your consciousness.
What we are attempting to share is the path leading beyond eternal suffering toward the joyful divine world — while simultaneously bringing peace, meaning, and clarity into this present life.”
But meanwhile, the woman who had interrupted us returned once again.
This time, she appeared even more angry.
Finally, I silently looked at her with calmness. That peaceful gaze deeply captivated everyone present in the room.
Unable to continue further, she forcefully slammed the door and walked away.
Afterwards, the young women slowly began to understand who was truly behind this jewel-like devotional service.
One of them sincerely asked:
“How was Krishna able to fulfil the desires of so many devotees?
Surely they were not seeking merely a playful lover, but rather a husband embodying the highest principles of dharma?”
Smiling softly, I replied:
“Lord Krishna expanded Himself into 16,108 forms. Each form perfectly manifested the exalted qualities of Lord Rama. In this way, He fulfilled every promise made to each devotee.”
Afterward, I showed them various Vedic references, explanations, and scriptural conclusions supporting these understandings.
A little further refinement in our educational intuition and devotional presentation. 🌸🪔🙏

Aujourd’hui, nous avons eu l’opportunité de rencontrer de magnifiques étudiants universitaires en musique ainsi que plusieurs étudiants en danse, énergiques et talentueux. Ayant entendu parler de notre rassemblement de dévotion, ils sont venus en apportant de magnifiques Mahā Mantras 🕉️ écrits à la main et répétés 108 fois.
L’un d’eux a soudain demandé :
« Donc, à moins d’être dans le besoin, ne viendrions-nous pas ici ? »
Je lui ai répondu doucement :
« Certainement, la pauvreté matérielle peut parfois devenir une opportunité bénie — un tournant qui nous éloigne de l’attachement matériel temporaire pour nous conduire vers l’engagement spirituel. Progressivement, cela développe le détachement de l’illusion matérielle et éveille une compréhension supérieure de l’Ātman, permettant à une personne de devenir un être humain véritablement accompli, qualifié pour la libération du cycle sans fin des naissances et des morts. »
Nous souhaitons maintenant partager une autre expérience inhabituelle et inoubliable.

De quoi s’agissait-il ?
Comme d’habitude, alors que nous discutions du Bhakti-yoga et de la science spirituelle suprême invisible à la perception ordinaire, quelque chose d’inattendu s’est produit.
Tout d’abord, j’ai décidé de présenter chacune des jeunes femmes en expliquant les belles significations spirituelles de leurs noms, car, étonnamment, elles-mêmes ne connaissaient pas la profondeur de leurs propres noms.
À la surprise générale, les cinq noms étaient liés à de bien-aimés dévots et aux consorts divins du Seigneur Krishna.
Aurions-nous jamais pu imaginer une telle coïncidence ?
À ce moment-là, une jeune femme a soudain demandé :
« Qui est le Seigneur Rāma ? »
Je lui ai répondu doucement :
« C’est un avatāra — une incarnation divine. »
Puis je lui ai demandé :
« Mais quelle est la source originelle de tous les avatāras ? »
Elles me regardaient avec curiosité et confusion, attendant une réponse.
Avec un léger sourire, j’ai répondu :
« Clairement, c’est Krishna, mes chères jeunes femmes. »
Immédiatement, une autre question est apparue :
« Pourquoi Rāma a-t-il accepté une seule épouse, alors que Krishna en a épousé 16 108 ? »
Elles furent de nouveau étonnées.
J’ai expliqué :
« De nombreux dévots profondément engagés ont prié le Seigneur Rāma. Ils désiraient un époux possédant des principes divins, un caractère parfait, une compassion inébranlable et le dharma éternel.
Ils ont prié :
“Ô Seigneur, si Tu es réellement la Personnalité Suprême de Dieu, alors un jour, accepte-nous comme Tes épouses.” »
À ce moment-là, la pièce était remplie de feuilles blanches portant des Mahā Mantras écrits à la main, soigneusement placées dans des dossiers rose pâle. Au centre se trouvait un magnifique sac rouge rubis contenant l’Écriture sacrée, la Bhagavad-gītā Telle qu’elle est.
J’ai poursuivi :
« Le Seigneur Rāma répondit avec amour :
“Certainement. Mais vous devez patienter jusqu’à Mon prochain avatāra, lorsque Je viendrai en tant que Krishna.” »
Ainsi, selon la compréhension védique, ces âmes dévouées furent ensuite réunies avec le Seigneur Krishna lors de leur naissance suivante.
Soudain, une autre femme entra dans la pièce.
Elle était de teint sombre, vêtue de rouge, et avait quelques dents de devant manquantes. D’une voix ferme, elle déclara :
« Si vous voulez recevoir des cadeaux, vous devez d’abord travailler une heure dans le jardin. »
Les jeunes femmes furent surprises et se préparèrent immédiatement à partir.
Je dis doucement :
« S’il vous plaît, restez calmes. Essayez d’abord de comprendre ce joyau de connaissance spirituelle concernant l’âme. Il est plus grand que le travail matériel dans un jardin. »
Mais la femme en rouge s’y opposa fortement.
Puis l’une des cinq jeunes femmes rit et déclara :
« D’abord la nourriture, puis l’âme — sans nourriture, il n’y a pas d’âme. »
J’ai été profondément surpris de voir à quelle vitesse leur conscience avait changé.
Quelques instants plus tôt, elles étaient plongées dans l’émotion spirituelle. Mais soudain, elles étaient prêtes à négliger la personne même qui organisait le service dévotionnel et les dons pour elles.
Cela m’a attristé de voir que les efforts spirituels étaient ainsi rejetés si facilement.
Je leur ai donc rappelé avec amour :
« S’il vous plaît, écoutez attentivement — la divinité ne naît pas de la matière. Au contraire, toute l’existence matérielle provient du Père suprême divin. »
J’ai poursuivi :
« Gardez un cœur ouvert. Essayez de comprendre la porte menant à notre véritable demeure éternelle.
Ne restez pas fermées d’esprit. Écoutez attentivement, apprenez sincèrement et laissez l’Ātman et le Paramātmā guider votre conscience.
Ce que nous essayons de partager est le chemin menant au-delà de la souffrance éternelle vers le monde divin de la joie — tout en apportant également paix, sens et clarté à la vie présente. »
Mais pendant ce temps, la femme qui avait interrompu revint encore une fois.
Cette fois, elle semblait encore plus en colère.
Finalement, je la regardai silencieusement avec calme. Ce regard paisible captiva profondément toutes les personnes présentes dans la pièce.
Incapable de continuer, elle claqua violemment la porte et partit.
Ensuite, les jeunes femmes commencèrent lentement à comprendre qui se trouvait réellement derrière ce service dévotionnel précieux comme un joyau.
L’une d’elles demanda sincèrement :
« Comment Krishna a-t-il pu accomplir les désirs de tant de dévots ?
Ils ne recherchaient sûrement pas un simple amant joueur, mais un époux incarnant les plus hauts principes du dharma, n’est-ce pas ? »
Avec un doux sourire, je répondis :
« Le Seigneur Krishna s’est étendu en 16 108 formes. Chaque forme manifestait parfaitement les qualités élevées du Seigneur Rāma. Ainsi, Il a accompli chaque promesse faite à chaque dévot. »
Ensuite, je leur ai montré diverses références védiques, explications et conclusions scripturaires soutenant ces enseignements.
Un léger raffinement supplémentaire dans notre compréhension éducative et notre présentation dévotionnelle. 🌸🪔🙏

බොහෝ දෙනාට අපි භගවාන් ක්රිෂ්ණා වෙත මෙතරම් ගැඹුරු ආකර්ෂණයක් සහ භක්තියක් දක්වන්නේ ඇයිදැයි සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම තේරුම් නොගන්න පුළුවන් විය හැක.
වාව්! අද දවස කොතරම් විශිෂ්ටද!
අද අපට විශ්වවිද්යාල සංගීත ශිෂ්යයන් සහ ශක්තිමත් හා දක්ෂ නර්තන ශිෂ්යයන් කිහිප දෙනෙකු හමුවීමට අවස්ථාව ලැබුණා. අපගේ භක්තිමත් සංගමය ගැන අසා, ඔවුන් 108 වරක් ලියන ලද අතිශය අලංකාර මහා මන්ත්ර 🕉️ රැගෙන පැමිණියා.
ඔවුන්ගෙන් එක් අයෙක් හදිසියේම ඇසුවා:
“එහෙනම්, අපට අවශ්යතාවයක් ඇති විට පමණක්ද අපි මෙතැනට එන්නේ?”
මම මෘදු ලෙස පිළිතුරු දුන්නා:
“ඇත්ත වශයෙන්ම, භෞතික දුප්පත්කම සමහර විට ආශීර්වාදයක අවස්ථාවක් විය හැකිය — තාවකාලික භෞතික බැඳීම් වලින් අපව වෙන් කරමින් ආධ්යාත්මික ජීවිතය දෙසට හැරවෙන හැරවුම් මාර්ගයක්. ක්රමයෙන් මෙය මෝහයෙන් නිදහස් වීම වර්ධනය කරමින් උසස් ආත්ම-අවබෝධය (Ātman) අවදි කරයි. එවිට පුද්ගලයෙකු උපත සහ මරණ චක්රයෙන් නිදහස් වීමට සුදුසු සැබෑ සාර්ථක මනුෂ්යයෙකු බවට පත්වේ.”
දැන් අපි තවත් අසාමාන්ය සහ අමතක නොවන අත්දැකීමක් බෙදාගන්නවා.
එය කොහේද සිදු වුණේ?
එය ක්රිෂ්ණා හෝම්හි සිදු වුණා.
කවදාද?
ඊයේ.
ඒ ගැන කුමක්ද?
සාමාන්ය පරිදි, අපි භක්ති යෝගය සහ සාමාන්ය ඇසට නොපෙනෙන උසස් ආධ්යාත්මික විද්යාව ගැන සාකච්ඡා කරමින් සිටියදී, අහඹු සිදුවීමක් සිදු වුණා.
පළමුව, මම එම තරුණ කාන්තාවන්ගේ නම් වල අලංකාර ආධ්යාත්මික අර්ථ පැහැදිලි කරමින් ඔවුන්ව හඳුන්වා දීමට තීරණය කළා. ඔවුන්ටම තම නම් වල ගැඹුරු අර්ථය නොදැන සිටීම පුදුමයක් විය.
ඇත්තෙන්ම ඔවුන් පස්දෙනාගේ නම් සියල්ලම භගවාන් ක්රිෂ්ණාගේ ප්රිය භක්තයන් හා දිව්ය සගයන් සමඟ සම්බන්ධ වී තිබුණා.
මෙවැනි අහඹු සම්බන්ධයක් අපට කවදා හෝ සිතාගන්න පුළුවන්ද?
එවෙලේ එක් තරුණියක් හදිසියේම ඇසුවා:
“රාම කියන්නේ කවුද?”
මම මෘදු ලෙස පිළිතුරු දුන්නා:
“ඔහු අවතාරයක් (avatāra) — දිව්යමය ප්රකාශනයක්.”
ඉන්පසු මම ඇසුවා:
“නමුත් සියලු අවතාරයන්ගේ මූලික මූලාශ්රය කවුද?”
ඔවුන් උනන්දුවෙන් සහ අසමගි සිතුවිලි වලින් මාව බලා සිටියා.
මෘදු සිනහවකින් මම කිව්වා:
“ඇත්තෙන්ම, ඒ ක්රිෂ්ණායි, ආදරණීය තරුණියන්.”
ඉක්මනින්ම තවත් ප්රශ්නයක් ඇසුණා:
“රාම එකම බිරිඳක් පමණක් ගත්තේ ඇයි, නමුත් ක්රිෂ්ණා 16,108 බිරිඳන් විවාහ කරගත්තේ ඇයි?”
ඔවුන් නැවතත් පුදුම වුණා.
මම පැහැදිලි කළා:
“බොහෝ ගැඹුරු භක්තිකයන් රාම දෙවියන්ට යාච්ඤා කළා. ඔවුන් දිව්යමය ගුණාංග, පරිපූර්ණ චරිතය, අසීමිත කරුණාව සහ සදාතනික ධර්මය ඇති ස්වාමියෙකු ප්රාර්ථනා කළා.
ඔවුන් මෙසේ යාච්ඤා කළා:
‘ඔබ සැබෑ පරම දේවතාවා නම්, දිනක අපව ඔබගේ බිරිඳන් ලෙස පිළිගන්න.’”
එම අවස්ථාවේ කාමරයම 108 වරක් ලියන ලද මහා මන්ත්ර ඇති සුදු කඩදාසිවලින් පිරී තිබුණා. ඒවා මෘදු රෝස පැහැති ෆෝල්ඩර්වල සූක්ෂමව තබා තිබුණා. මධ්යයේ රතු රූබි පැහැති බෑගයක් තුළ භගවද් ගීතාව (As It Is) පූජනීය ග්රන්ථය තිබුණා.
මම දිගටම පැහැදිලි කළා:
“රාම දෙවියන් මෙසේ අමනාපයෙන් නොව ආදරයෙන් පිළිතුරු දුන්නා:
‘ඇත්තෙන්ම. නමුත් ඔබලා ඉවසිල්ලෙන් සිටිය යුතුයි — මගේ ඊළඟ අවතාරය වන ක්රිෂ්ණා ලෙස මම පැමිණෙන තුරු.’”
එම නිසා වේදික සම්ප්රදාය අනුව, එම භක්ති ආත්මයන් පසුව ක්රිෂ්ණා සමඟ ඔවුන්ගේ ඊළඟ ජීවිතයේ එක් වුණා.
හදිසියේම තවත් කාන්තාවක් කාමරයට ඇතුළු වුණා.
ඇය කළු පැහැති, රතු ඇඳුම් ඇඳගෙන සිටි අතර ඉදිරි දත් කිහිපයක් නොතිබුණා. දැඩි හඬකින් ඇය කිව්වා:
“ඔබට තෑගි ලබාගන්න ඕන නම්, මුලින්ම පැය එකක් උයනේ වැඩ කරන්න ඕන.”
තරුණියන් බියපත් වී ඉක්මනින් පිටවීමට සූදානම් වුණා.
මම මෘදු ලෙස කිව්වා:
“කරුණාකර සන්සුන්ව ඉන්න. මුලින් මේ ආත්මය පිළිබඳ උසස් දැනුමේ රත්නය තේරුම් ගන්න. මෙය තාවකාලික උයනේ වැඩකට වඩා උසස්.”
නමුත් රතු ඇඳුම් ඇඳගත් කාන්තාව දැඩිව එයට විරුද්ධ වුණා.
පසුව එක් තරුණියක් හිනා වෙලා කිව්වා:
“පළමුව ආහාර, පසුව ආත්මය — ආහාර නැතිව ආත්මයක් නැහැ.”
ඔවුන්ගේ සිතුවිලි ඉතා ඉක්මනින් වෙනස් වීම ගැන මම පුදුම වුණා.
මොහොතකට පෙර ඔවුන් ආධ්යාත්මික හැඟීම් වල ගැඹුරේ සිටියා. නමුත් දැන් ඔවුන් එම භක්ති සේවය සංවිධානය කළ පුද්ගලයාම නොසලකා හැරීමට සූදානම් වුණා.
මෙය දැක මට කණගාටු වුණා.
ඒ නිසා මම ආදරයෙන් ඔවුන්ට මතක් කළා:
“කරුණාකර හොඳින් අහන්න — දිව්යත්වය භෞතිකයෙන් උපදින දෙයක් නොවේ. සියලු භෞතික දේවල් දිව්ය පරම පියාගෙන් උත්පන්න වේ.”
මම දිගටම කිව්වා:
“හදවත විවෘතව තබන්න. ඔබගේ සදාතනික නිවසට යන දොරටුව තේරුම් ගන්න.
අවබෝධයෙන් ඉගෙන ගන්න, ආත්මය හා පරමාත්මය ඔබේ චින්තනය මෙහෙයවන්න ඉඩ දෙන්න.
අපි බෙදාගන්න උත්සාහ කරන්නේ සදාතන දුක ඉක්මවා යන, සදානන්දමය දිව්ය ලෝකයට යන මාර්ගයයි — එමෙන්ම මේ ජීවිතයටද සාමය, අර්ථය සහ පැහැදිලි බව ලබා දෙන මාර්ගයයි.”
එම වෙලාවේම, එය බාධා කළ කාන්තාව නැවතත් පැමිණියා.
මෙවර ඇය තවත් කෝපයෙන් සිටියා.
අවසානයේ, මම නිහඬව ඇය දෙස බැලුවා. ඒ සන්සුන් බැල්ම කාමරයේ සියල්ලන්ම ගැඹුරින් ස්පර්ශ කළා.
තවදුරටත් සිටිය නොහැකිව, ඇය දොර තදින් වැසලා පිටව ගියා.
පසුව තරුණියන් ක්රමයෙන් තේරුම් ගන්න පටන් ගත්තා මේ සියලු භක්ති සේවය පිටුපස සිටියේ කවුද කියලා.
ඔවුන්ගෙන් එක් අයෙක් ඇසුවා:
“මෙතරම් භක්තිකයන්ගේ ආශාවන් ක්රිෂ්ණාට කොහොමද සපුරාලන්න පුළුවන් වුණේ?”
මම සිනහවකින් පිළිතුරු දුන්නා:
“ක්රිෂ්ණා තමන්ව 16,108 ආකාරවලට විස්තාරණය කළා. ඒ හැම ආකාරයක්ම රාම දෙවියන්ගේ උසස් ගුණාංග පූර්ණ ලෙස ප්රකාශ කළා. ඒ ලෙස ඔහු සියලු භක්තිකයන්ගේ සියලු පොරොන්දු සම්පූර්ණ කළා.”
පසුව මම මේ අදහස් සනාථ කරන වේදික උපුටා ගැනීම් සහ පැහැදිලි කිරීම් ඔවුන්ට පෙන්වා දුන්නා.

பலருக்கு நாம் ஏன் இவ்வளவு ஆழமான ஈர்ப்பு மற்றும் பக்தியை பகவான் கிருஷ்ணரிடம் உணர்கிறோம் என்பதை முழுமையாக புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியாமல் இருக்கலாம்.
வாவ்! இன்று எவ்வளவு அற்புதமான நாள்!
இன்று, நாங்கள் சில மயக்கும் பல்கலைக்கழக இசை மாணவர்களையும், பல ஆற்றல் மிகுந்த மற்றும் திறமையான நடன மாணவர்களையும் சந்திக்கும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. எங்கள் பக்தி கூடுகையைப் பற்றி கேள்விப்பட்டதும் அவர்கள் வந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் அழகாக கையால் எழுதப்பட்ட 108 முறை ஜபிக்கப்பட்ட மகா மந்திரங்களை 🕉️ கொண்டு வந்திருந்தார்கள்.
அவர்களில் ஒருவர் திடீரென கேட்டார்:
“அப்படியெனில், நமக்கு தேவையுள்ளபோது மட்டுமே நாம் இங்கு வருகிறோமா?”
நான் மெதுவாக பதிலளித்தேன்:
“நிச்சயமாக, பொருளாதார வறுமை சில நேரங்களில் ஒரு அருளான வாய்ப்பாக மாறலாம் — அது தற்காலிகமான பொருள் பற்றுதலிலிருந்து நம்மை விலக்கி ஆன்மீக ஈடுபாட்டை நோக்கி திருப்பும் ஒரு திருப்புமுனையாக இருக்கும். படிப்படியாக இது பொருள் மாயையிலிருந்து பற்றின்மையை வளர்த்து, உயர்ந்த ஆத்ம அறிவை (Atman education) விழிப்பூட்டுகிறது. இதன் மூலம் ஒருவர் பிறப்பு மற்றும் மரணத்தின் முடிவற்ற சுழற்சியிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெற தகுதியான ஒரு உண்மையான வெற்றிகரமான மனிதராக மாறுகிறார்.”
இப்போது நாங்கள் மற்றொரு அசாதாரணமான மற்றும் மறக்க முடியாத அனுபவத்தை பகிர விரும்புகிறோம்.

முதலில், நான் அந்த இளம் பெண்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் அவர்களின் பெயர்களின் அழகான ஆன்மீக அர்த்தங்களை விளக்கி அறிமுகப்படுத்த முடிவு செய்தேன். ஏனெனில், ஆச்சரியமாக, அவர்களுக்கே தங்களின் பெயர்களின் ஆழமான அர்த்தம் தெரியவில்லை.

அந்த நேரத்தில், ஒரு இளம் பெண் திடீரென கேட்டாள்:
“ராமர் யார்?”
நான் மெதுவாக பதிலளித்தேன்:
“அவர் ஒரு அவதாரம் — தெய்வீக அவதரிப்பு.”
பிறகு நான் மெதுவாக கேட்டேன்:

‘ஓ இறைவா, நீங்கள் உண்மையில் பரமபுருஷர் என்றால், ஒருநாள் எங்களை உங்கள் மனைவிகளாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.’”
அந்த நேரத்தில் அறை முழுவதும் 108 முறை எழுதப்பட்ட மகா மந்திரங்கள் கொண்ட வெள்ளை தாள்களால் நிரம்பியிருந்தது. அவை மென்மையான இளஞ்சிவப்பு கோப்புகளில் கவனமாக வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. நடுவில் பகவத்கீதை (As It Is) என்ற புனித நூலை கொண்ட ஒரு அழகிய ரத்தின சிவப்பு பை இருந்தது.
நான் தொடர்ந்தேன்:
“பகவான் ராமர் அன்புடன் பதிலளித்தார்:
‘நிச்சயமாக. ஆனால் நீங்கள் பொறுமையாக காத்திருக்க வேண்டும் — நான் அடுத்த அவதாரத்தில் கிருஷ்ணராக வரும் வரை.’”
இதனால், வேதாந்த புரிதலின் படி, அந்த பக்த ஆன்மாக்கள் பின்னர் கிருஷ்ணருடன் தங்களின் அடுத்த பிறவியில் ஒன்றிணைந்தனர்.
திடீரென மற்றொரு பெண் அறைக்குள் வந்தாள்.
அவள் கருமை நிறத் தோற்றத்துடன், சிவப்பு உடை அணிந்திருந்தாள், மற்றும் முன்னால் சில பற்கள் இல்லாத நிலையில் இருந்தாள். உறுதியான குரலில் அவள் கூறினாள்:
“நீங்கள் பரிசுகள் பெற விரும்பினால், முதலில் ஒரு மணி நேரம் தோட்டத்தில் வேலை செய்ய வேண்டும்.”
இளம் பெண்கள் அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்து உடனே வெளியேறத் தயாரானார்கள்.
நான் மெதுவாக கூறினேன்:
“தயவுசெய்து அமைதியாக இருங்கள். முதலில் இந்த ஆன்மீக அறிவின் முத்தை புரிந்துகொள்ள முயற்சிக்கவும். இது தற்காலிக தோட்ட வேலைக்குக் காட்டிலும் உயர்ந்தது.”
ஆனால் சிவப்பு உடை அணிந்த அந்த பெண் இதை கடுமையாக எதிர்த்தாள்.
பின்னர் அந்த ஐந்து பெண்களில் ஒருவர் சிரித்து கூறினாள்:
“முதலில் உணவு, பிறகு ஆன்மா — உணவு இல்லாமல் ஆன்மா இல்லை.”

இது எனக்கு வருத்தமாக இருந்தது — ஆன்மீக முயற்சிகள் இவ்வளவு எளிதில் நிராகரிக்கப்படுவதைப் பார்த்து.
அதனால் நான் அன்புடன் நினைவூட்டினேன்:
“தயவுசெய்து கவனமாக கேளுங்கள் — தெய்வீகம் பொருளிலிருந்து உருவாகாது. மாறாக, அனைத்து பொருள்களும் பரம தெய்வீக தந்தையிலிருந்து தோன்றுகின்றன.”
நான் தொடர்ந்து கூறினேன்:
“தயவுசெய்து திறந்த மனதுடன் இருங்கள். நம் உண்மையான நிரந்தர இல்லத்திற்குச் செல்லும் கதவைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள முயலுங்கள்.
மூடிய மனநிலையுடன் இருக்க வேண்டாம். கவனமாக கேளுங்கள், மனதார கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள், ஆத்மாவும் பரமாத்மாவும் உங்கள் சிந்தனையை வழிநடத்த அனுமதியுங்கள்.
நாம் பகிர முயற்சிப்பது என்னவென்றால் — நிரந்தர துன்பத்தைக் கடந்துச் செல்லும் பாதையும், ஆனந்தமயமான தெய்வீக உலகையும் நோக்கிய வழியும்; அதே சமயம் இன்றைய வாழ்க்கைக்கும் அமைதி, அர்த்தம் மற்றும் தெளிவை வழங்கும் பாதையும் ஆகும்.”
அதே நேரத்தில், இடையூறு செய்த அந்த பெண் மீண்டும் திரும்பினாள்.
இந்த முறை அவள் இன்னும் அதிக கோபத்துடன் தோன்றினாள்.
இறுதியில், நான் அமைதியாக அவளை நோக்கினேன். அந்த அமைதியான பார்வை அறையில் இருந்த அனைவரையும் ஆழமாக கவர்ந்தது.

அதன் பின்னர், அந்த இளம் பெண்கள் மெதுவாக யார் உண்மையில் இந்த முத்துபோன்ற பக்தி சேவையின் பின்னால் இருந்தார் என்பதைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளத் தொடங்கினர்.
அவர்களில் ஒருவர் மனமாரக் கேட்டாள்:
“இவ்வளவு பக்தர்களின் ஆசைகளை கிருஷ்ணர் எப்படி நிறைவேற்ற முடிந்தது?
அவர்கள் வெறும் விளையாட்டுப் பாணியிலான காதலரை அல்ல, மாறாக உயர்ந்த தர்மக் கொள்கைகள் கொண்ட ஒரு கணவரையே தேடியிருந்தனர் அல்லவா?”
சிறு புன்னகையுடன் நான் பதிலளித்தேன்:
“பகவான் கிருஷ்ணர் தன்னை 16,108 வடிவங்களாக விரிவுபடுத்தினார். ஒவ்வொரு வடிவமும் பகவான் ராமரின் உயர்ந்த குணங்களை முழுமையாக வெளிப்படுத்தியது. இவ்வாறு அவர் ஒவ்வொரு பக்தருக்கும் கொடுத்த வாக்குறுதியையும் நிறைவேற்றினார்.”
