Why focus on Father Krishna when there are thousands of demigods?
The waves whisper.
The fire of cremation has returned the body to elements.
The students sit quietly.
The teacher begins.
👩🏫 Teacher:
“Dear students, today we witnessed the temporary nature of the body. Now let us ask — who is eternal? And to whom should our ultimate focus be given?”
🎓 Student 1:
“If there are many devas — powerful controllers — why focus mainly on Krishna?”
👩🏫 Teacher:
“In the Vedic understanding, there are indeed many devas — like ministers in a government. Each has responsibility over universal functions.”
For example:
- Indra — rain and heavenly administration
- Shiva — transformation and dissolution
- Lakshmi — prosperity and fortune
- Ganesha — remover of obstacles
They are highly exalted beings. They deserve respect.
But are they independent?”
🎓 Student 2:
“Are they not supreme themselves?”
👩🏫 Teacher:
“The scriptures repeatedly declare that all devas derive their power from the Supreme Source.”
In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says:
“I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me.” (10.8)
And also:
“Those whose intelligence is limited worship the demigods for temporary benefits.”
This does not insult devas.
It clarifies hierarchy.
🎓 Student 3:
“So if we worship Krishna, are we neglecting the devas?”
👩🏫 Teacher:
“Not at all.
When you water the root of a tree, every branch and leaf is nourished.
When you serve the Supreme Father, all devas are automatically honored.”
🎓 Student 4:
“What about the eternal resident? Who continues after cremation?”
👩🏫 Teacher:
“The eternal resident is the atma — the soul.
The body of Rani returned to earth, water, fire, air, and ether.
But the soul continues.”
Krishna explains in the Gita:
“The soul is never born and never dies.”
So intelligent students ask not merely:
- Who gives rain?
- Who removes obstacles?
But rather:
- Who is the ultimate shelter of the eternal soul?
That shelter is the Supreme Person.
🌺 Tamil Translation (தமிழ்)
இலங்கையின் அமைதியான மாலை நேரம்.
சுடுகாட்டின் அக்கினி அணைந்தது.
உடல் ஐந்து மூலதத்துவங்களாக கலந்து விட்டது.
ஆனால் ஆத்மா — நித்திய வாசி — தொடர்கிறது.
கேள்வி: ஏன் பல தேவர்கள் இருக்கும்போது, நாமே கிருஷ்ணரை தந்தையாகக் கவனிக்க வேண்டும்?
வேத பாரம்பரியத்தில் பல தேவர்கள் உள்ளனர்:
- இந்திரன் — மழை மற்றும் ஆட்சி
- சிவன் — மாற்றமும் லயமும்
- லட்சுமி — செல்வமும் அருளும்
- கணேஷா — தடைகளை நீக்குபவர்
அவர்கள் அனைவரும் உயர்ந்த தெய்வீக அதிகாரிகள்.
ஆனால் அவர்கள் சக்தி எங்கிருந்து வருகிறது?
அந்த மூல ஆதாரம்:
**பகவத்கீதை**யில் கிருஷ்ணர் கூறுகிறார்:
“நான் அனைத்திற்கும் மூல காரணம்.”
வேர் மீது தண்ணீர் ஊற்றினால், முழு மரமும் செழிக்கும்.
அதுபோல், பரமபிதாவை வணங்கினால், எல்லா தேவர்களும் கௌரவிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.
ராணியின் உடல் சென்றது.
ஆனால் ஆத்மா — நித்தியமானது.

Le vent sacré du Sri Lanka souffle doucement.
Le feu de la crémation s’est éteint.
Le corps est retourné aux cinq éléments.
Mais l’âme — le résident éternel — continue son voyage.
Question : Pourquoi se concentrer sur Krishna comme Père suprême alors qu’il existe des milliers de devas ?
Dans la tradition védique, il existe de nombreux devas :
- Indra — responsable de la pluie
- Shiva — transformation et dissolution
- Lakshmi — prospérité et grâce
- Ganesha — celui qui enlève les obstacles
Ils sont respectables et puissants.
Mais leur énergie provient d’une source suprême.
Cette source est :

චිතාග්නිය නිවී ගොස් ඇත.
ශරීරය පංචභූතයන්ට ආපසු ගොස් ඇත.
නමුත් ආත්මය — නිත్య වාසියා — ඉදිරියට යයි.
ප්රශ්නය: දේවතා රැසක් තිබියදීත්, ඇයි අපි ශ්රී ක්රිෂ්ණ දෙවියන්ට පියා ලෙස අවධානය යොමු කරන්නේ?
වේද සම්ප්රදාය අනුව බොහෝ දේවතා ඇත:
- ඉන්ද්ර — වර්ෂාව පාලනය කරන
- ශිව — විනාශය සහ පරිවර්තනය
- ලක්ෂ්මි — සම්පත් හා කරුණාව
- ගණේශ — අවහිරතා ඉවත් කරන
ඔවුන් ගෞරවයට පාත්ර වේ.
නමුත් ඔවුන්ගේ බලය ලැබෙන්නේ උතුම් මූලයකින්ය.
ඒ මූලය:
භගවද් ගීතාව තුළ ඔහු කියයි:
“මම සියල්ලටම මූලය වෙමි.”
මූලයට ජලය දමන විට මුළු ගසම පෝෂණය වේ.
ඒසේම, උතුම් පියාට භක්තියෙන් සේවය කිරීමෙන් සියලු දේවතාවන් ගෞරවයට ලක් වේ.
රාණිගේ ශරීරය ගියා.
නමුත් ආත්මය නිත్యය.

இலங்கையின் புனித மண்ணில்,
ஆசிரியர் கிருஷ்ண மேனன் தலைமையில் நாம் ஒன்றிணைந்து பிரார்த்திக்கிறோம்.
ராணியின் ஆத்மா,
உயர்ந்த பாதையை அடைய அருள் புரிவாயாக.
பரமபிதாவாகிய
உமது திருவடிகளில் அவளுக்கு சாந்தி அருள்வாயாக.
எல்லா தேவர்களுக்கும் நாம் மரியாதை செலுத்துகிறோம்,
ஆனால் உம்மையே ஆதாரமாக ஏற்கிறோம்.
அவள் உடல் அக்னியில் கலந்தது,
ஆனால் ஆத்மா நித்தியமானது.
“ஹரே கிருஷ்ணா” என்ற நாமம்
அவள் பயணத்திற்கு ஒளியாக இருக்கட்டும்.

සියලු දේවතාවන්ට අප ගෞරව කරමු,
