We are, indeed, the living seeds of our ancestors—the carriers of our parents’ DNA 🧬 and the inheritors of their values, actions, and aspirations. Life after life, we continue our journey, guided by our deepest desires and impressions.

It is therefore meaningful to reflect on the sacred legacy left by those before us—our forefathers who stood as pillars of discipline, devotion, and dharma, much like the revered figures described in the Puranas. Their lives remind us that spiritual integrity is not inherited automatically; it must be consciously understood and lived.

Our minds, ego, and intelligence are deeply influenced by ancestral impressions. Yet, without striving to understand the Ultimate Truth, we remain bound to the consequences of our actions—our karmas—repeating patterns that may lead to regret.

For generations, our ancestors have worshipped divine forms such as Ganesha (Pillayar), Murugan, and Shiva with sincerity and devotion. These traditions continue to guide and inspire communities across time, offering pathways toward spiritual growth and inner refinement.

A living example of such dedication can be seen in the ongoing construction of the Kurinchikumaran Murugan Temple in Germany 🇩🇪—a remarkable effort led by devoted individuals and supported by a compassionate community. Even as its grand tower rises, already costing over half a million euros, devotees continue to contribute with faith and unity. This is a testament to the enduring spirit of devotion across generations. Congratulations to all involved in this noble service.

History reminds us that temples were often built and protected by kings and wealthy patrons. However, during events such as the Portuguese colonial period in Sri Lanka, many sacred temples were destroyed or disrupted, and with them, certain cultural and spiritual continuities were weakened.

Similarly, over time, sacred texts like the Bhagavad Gita have been interpreted in many different ways. While diverse perspectives can enrich understanding, they can also create confusion.

To address this, our guru A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada presented a clear and faithful rendering titled

Bhagavad-gita As It Is,

offering readers a consistent and devotional interpretation rooted in tradition.

நாம் உண்மையாகவே நமது முன்னோர்களின் விதைகள் — நமது பெற்றோரின் DNA 🧬-ஐ தாங்கிக்கொண்டு, அவர்கள் வாழ்ந்த மதிப்புகள், செயல்கள் மற்றும் ஆசைகளின் தொடர்ச்சியாக இருக்கிறோம். பிறப்பு பிறப்பாக, நமது ஆழ்ந்த விருப்பங்களாலும் மனச்சாயல்களாலும் வழிநடத்தப்பட்டு நாம் இந்த பயணத்தைத் தொடர்கிறோம்.

நமது மனம், அகந்தை, புத்தி ஆகியவை முன்னோர்களின் தாக்கத்தில் வேரூன்றியுள்ளன. ஆனால் பரம சத்தியத்தை உணர முயற்சி செய்யாவிட்டால், நமது செயல்களின் விளைவுகளான கர்மங்களில் நாம் கட்டுண்டு, மறுபடியும் மறுபடியும் அதே பிழைகளைத் தொடர்கிறோம்.

பல தலைமுறைகளாக, நமது முன்னோர்கள் பிள்ளையார், முருகன், சிவன் போன்ற தெய்வங்களை உண்மையான பக்தியுடன் வழிபட்டு வந்துள்ளனர். இந்த மரபுகள் காலத்தைக் கடந்து இன்று வரை நம்மை வழிநடத்தி, ஆன்மீக முன்னேற்றத்திற்கான பாதையை வழங்குகின்றன.

இந்த பக்தி உணர்வின் உயிர்ப்பான எடுத்துக்காட்டு ஜெர்மனியில் கட்டப்பட்டு வரும் குரிஞ்சிக்குமரன் முருகன் கோயில் ஆகும் 🇩🇪. அரை மில்லியன் யூரோக்களைத் தாண்டிய செலவில் அதன் கோபுரம் எழுந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது. பக்தர்கள் ஒன்றிணைந்து, நம்பிக்கையுடனும் அர்ப்பணிப்புடனும் இந்த பணியில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர். இந்த அரிய சேவையில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள அனைவருக்கும் மனமார்ந்த வாழ்த்துகள்.

வரலாறு காட்டுவது, கோயில்கள் பெரும்பாலும் அரசர்கள் மற்றும் செல்வந்தர்களால் கட்டப்பட்டன. ஆனால் போர்த்துகீசியர் ஆட்சி காலத்தில், பல கோயில்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டன அல்லது பாதிக்கப்பட்டன. இதன் விளைவாக சில ஆன்மீக மரபுகள் தடைப்பட்டன.

அதேபோல், பகவத்கீதை போன்ற புனித நூல்கள் பல்வேறு விதமாக விளக்கப்பட்டன. பல கருத்துகள் அறிவை வளர்த்தாலும், சில நேரங்களில் குழப்பத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தின.

இதனைத் தீர்க்க, எங்கள் குரு ஏ.சி. பக்திவேதாந்த ஸ்வாமி பிரபுபாதர் அவர்கள் “Bhagavad-gita As It Is” என்ற நூலை வழங்கினார். இது பக்தி அடிப்படையில் தெளிவான மற்றும் உண்மையான விளக்கமாகும்.

එබැවින්, අපගේ පුරෝගාමීන් අපට උරුම කර දුන් පවිත‍්‍ර උරුමය ගැඹුරින් අවබෝධ කර ගැනීම අත්‍යවශ්‍ය වේ. පුරාණ කථාවල සඳහන් වූ මහා පුද්ගලයන් මෙන්, අපගේ පියාමහවරුන් ධර්මය, භක්තිය සහ නීතිය තුළ ජීවත් වූහ. ඔවුන්ගේ ජීවිතය අපට පෙන්වන්නේ ආධ්‍යාත්මික සත්‍යතාව උරුමයෙන් ලැබෙන දෙයක් නොව, අවබෝධයෙන් ජීවිතයට ගත යුතු දෙයක් බවයි.

අපගේ මනස, අහංකාරය සහ බුද්ධිය පුරෝගාමීන්ගේ බලපෑම් මත පදනම් වී ඇත. නමුත්, පරම සත්‍යය අවබෝධ කර ගැනීමට අප උත්සාහ නොකරන්නේ නම්, අපගේ කර්මයන්ගේ ප්‍රතිඵලවලට බැඳී, නැවත නැවතත් එම චක්‍රය තුළ ගමන් කරනු ඇත.

පරම්පරාවන් ගණනාවක් පුරා, අපගේ පුරෝගාමීන් ගණේශ, මුරුගන් සහ ශිව වැනි දේවතාවන්ට භක්තියෙන් නමස්කාර කර ඇත. මෙම සම්ප්‍රදායන් අදටත් අපව මඟ පෙන්වා, ආධ්‍යාත්මික වර්ධනය සඳහා මාර්ගයක් සපයයි.

මෙයට ජීවමාන උදාහරණයක් වන්නේ ජර්මනියේ ඉදිවෙමින් පවතින කුරින්චිකුමාරන් මුරුගන් දේවාලය 🇩🇪 යි. එහි ගොඩනැගිල්ලේ කොටසක් වන ගෝපුරය යුරෝ ලක්ෂ පනස් දහසකට අධික වියදමක් දැරීමට ලක්වී ඇත. භක්තිමත් ජනතාව එකතු වී විශ්වාසයෙන් සහ කැපවීමෙන් මෙයට දායක වෙති. මෙම උතුම් සේවයට දායක වන සියලු දෙනාට අපගේ හෘදයාංගම සුභ පැතුම්.

ඉතිහාසය අනුව, දේවාල බොහෝවිට රජවරුන් සහ ධනවත් පුද්ගලයන් විසින් ඉදිකරන ලදී. නමුත් පෘතුගීසි ආක්‍රමණ සමයේදී බොහෝ දේවාල විනාශයට පත් විය, හෝ විශාල ලෙස හානිවිය. ඒ සමඟ සමහර ආධ්‍යාත්මික සම්ප්‍රදායන් බිඳ වැටුණි.

එසේම, භගවද් ගීතාව වැනි පවිත‍්‍ර ග්‍රන්ථ බොහෝ ආකාරයෙන් විවරණය කරන ලදී. විවිධ අදහස් දැනුම වැඩි කළද, සමහරවිට ගැටලු සහ ගැඹුරු අවුල් ඇති කළා.

Un exemple vivant de cette dévotion est la construction du temple Murugan Kurinchikumaran en Allemagne 🇩🇪. Pour y remédier, notre maître spirituel A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada a प्रस्तुतé une version claire intitulée « Bhagavad-gita As It Is », offrant une interprétation fidèle et dévotionnelle.
