 We wonder why certain individuals are taking advantage of helpless patients, acting without accountability and ignoring the true authority and ethical responsibility behind healthcare.

It is deeply concerning that doctors employed in government hospitals appear to act as directors or controllers of such organisations. This raises serious questions about conflicts of interest and misuse of public trust.

Some well-meaning gentlemen from foreign countries are supporting these doctors’ organisations without knowing the ground reality. Their goodwill is being misdirected.

When we attempted to obtain an appointment for our sister, who had suffered a serious stroke, we were confronted with a regrettable and alarming reality.

A disturbing network has grown so powerful that it collects large amounts of funds from foreign donors—money that is meant for the vulnerable and the poor. Instead, it is being used as a business model: selectively targeting wealthy patients while deliberately preventing others from accessing government hospitals.

I was shocked and deeply alarmed to witness—and even investigate—these fraudulent activities, only to realise later that such practices are illegal.

We personally know individuals within these organisations who have innocently invested substantial amounts of money, believing they were helping the vulnerable and the suffering.

This situation must be stopped before it evolves into a dangerous and organised criminal system that preys on patients and exploits compassion.

This is a follow-up episode regarding the illegal and unethical activities taking place in Jaffna.

If our sister has been seriously affected by these organisations, then we, as a family, are forced to bear the consequences—birth after birth. This is not a small matter; it carries deep moral and karmic implications.

Most alarming of all is the fact that innocent investors from foreign countries have absolutely no idea what is really happening on the ground.

I spoke to some of them politely and respectfully, trying to explain the reality. Unfortunately, they did not take it seriously.

Recently, after I was added to their social-service WhatsApp group, another shocking truth came to light. Many of the individuals investing enormous amounts of money openly and proudly declare that they are atheists and that they do not care about God.

I was astonished. I thought, what great-hearted people! Despite being atheists, they appear to act like demigods—sometimes even more generous than theists. I was truly amazed.

What a coincidence, especially since we have already been engaged in a serious intellectual challenge with a particular individual on the subject of the atheist mindset.

When I responded—respectfully and thoughtfully—to the main organiser of the Kandy disaster relief, addressing a representative of the foreign donors (who is, in truth, a saintly person), my message was deleted from the Social Service WhatsApp group.

As usual, my response was devotional, grateful, and humble.

To my bitter disappointment, it was deleted promptly. Not once—but several times.

Honestly, I could not understand what was happening. I could not believe my own eyes.

Then I realised something important.

I remembered a man from this organisation whom I had personally met in Sri Lanka.

When we were desperately struggling to secure admission for our stroke-affected sister in a government hospital, our kind cousin—one of the highest contributors to the doctors’ organisation (though not an atheist)—advised us to contact a particular man for assistance.

That gentleman worked hard for a few days and eventually arranged admission to what appeared to be either a private clinic or a government facility. I am not entirely sure which—but I am certain it was orchestrated by the same cunning doctors I mentioned earlier.

At that time, I was innocently delighted.

Later, however, after carefully studying the structure and functioning of this organisation, I felt deeply disappointed.

By listening attentively and thinking critically, I came to understand how these doctors are cleverly extracting my friends’ wealth legally, while simultaneously organising and operating illegal private clinics—without compassion.

Is this not criminal behaviour?

These doctors are employed in public hospitals in Jaffna and their sub-branches, yet at the same time they privately organise and run additional clinics for profit.

Is this not absolute immunity from accountability?

Meanwhile, our friends—who proudly identify as atheists—are controlling this entire system by sending vast amounts of money from abroad.

Are they not being deceived?

Is this not a clear case of manipulation?

Without doubt, the middle-class patients suffer the most. These doctors exploit the situation by deceiving foreign donors while profiting at the expense of ordinary people who depend on government hospitals.

Finally, I realised a profound truth:

when human beings attempt to take the role of God, they must be extremely careful.

Otherwise, such actions lead to tragedies—tragedies that do not end with death, but continue into future births, even into animal forms.

Death is not the end.

Death is the beginning of the next birth, dear so-called great leaders.
