“Dear friends! “

He adjusted his throat and he continued:

“As you know, there are twenty-six letters in the alphabet that help to make thousands and thousands of volumes of books .

சாம் (மாணவர்களிடம்):

அன்புள்ள நண்பர்களே! உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும், அகரவரிசையில் இருபத்தாறு எழுத்துக்கள் உள்ளன. அவை ஆயிரக்கணக்கான நூல்களை உருவாக்க உதவுகின்றன.

But when you separate the letters and make them single, it means nothing more than just a letter.

தமிழ்: ஆனால் அவற்றை பிரித்து தனித்தனியாக வைத்தால், அது ஒரு எழுத்தைத் தவிர வேறொன்றுமில்லை.

What I really mean to say is that union is strength.

தமிழ்: நான் உண்மையில் சொல்ல விரும்புவது, ஒன்றுபட்டால் தான் பலம் என்பதே.

(He walked while he talked, his personality professional and confident.)

தமிழ்: (அவர் பேசிக்கொண்டே நடந்தார்; அவரது ஆளுமை தொழில்முறை மற்றும் தன்னம்பிக்கையுடன் இருந்தது.)

Friends! Do you think it is a good act? Don’t you think we are behaving like fools?

தமிழ்: நண்பர்களே! இது நல்ல செயல் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்களா? நாமே முட்டாள்கள் போல நடந்து கொள்கிறோம் என்று நினைக்கவில்லை嗎?

Why on earth do we do this?

தமிழ்: நாம் ஏன் இப்படி செய்கிறோம்?

(He glanced glamorously at the audience, smiling naturally.)

தமிழ்: (அவர் அழகாகக் கண்ணோட்டம் விட்டார்; இயல்பான புன்னகையுடன்.)

When there is a will, there is a way.

தமிழ்: மனம் இருந்தால் வழி உண்டு.

We need to be a bit generous in order to stop the continuous worries because of an unreasonable custom.

தமிழ்: காரணமற்ற ஒரு பழக்கத்தால் தொடர்ச்சியாக வரும் கவலைகளை நிறுத்த நாமே கொஞ்சம் தாராளமாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.

Without real wisdom or the torch of knowledge, society suffers.

தமிழ்: உண்மையான ஞானம் அல்லது அறிவின் விளக்கு இல்லாமல் சமூகம் துன்பப்படுகிறது.

Yeah! I mean the knowledge of the Divine.

தமிழ்: ஆம்! அதாவது தெய்வீக ஞானம்.

(He walked around attractively smart, his voice creating a mesmerising frequency in the hall.)

தமிழ்: (அவர் கவர்ச்சிகரமாக சுறுசுறுப்புடன் சுற்றி நடந்தார்; அவரது குரல் மண்டபத்தில் மயக்கும் ஒலியாக ஒலித்தது.)

Young men are expecting stupid, silly, and disgusting dowry from their feeble and pitiful female partners!

தமிழ்: இளம் ஆண்கள் தங்களின் பலவீனமான மற்றும் பரிதாபமான பெண்களிடமிருந்து முட்டாள்தனமான, அருவருப்பான தரகு எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்கள்!

(He laughed angrily, shaking his head.)

Ha, ha, ha… Why?

தமிழ்: ஹா, ஹா, ஹா… ஏன்?
