🔔Episode 42– “Why on earth did he not do anything against James in return?”

“ஏன் அவர் எதிர் நடவடிக்கை எதுவும் எடுக்கவில்லை?”

“Why on earth did he not do anything in return?”

🌸 “ஏன் அவர் பதிலுக்கு எதையும் செய்யவில்லை?” என்று அனைவரும் ஆச்சரியத்துடன் கேட்டனர்.

It was the question from everyone’s eyes expressed in a compassionate situation.

🌼 அந்த தருணத்தில், அனைவரின் கண்களும் ஒரே கேள்வியை மலர்ந்தன—கருணையால் நிறைந்த அந்தக் காட்சியில்.

Instead, he was completely shocked like everyone else!

🌹 ஆனால் அவர் கூட மற்றவர்களைப் போலவே அதிர்ச்சியில் உறைந்தார்!

It was indeed a bitter surprise for Marina.

🌷 மரினாவுக்கு அது மிகுந்த கசப்பான ஆச்சரியம்.

She immediately attempted to interfere with lots of courage, but her friends discouraged her.

🌺 அவள் தைரியமாக இடையூறாகச் செல்ல முயன்றாள்; ஆனால் அவளது தோழிகள் அவளைத் தடுத்தனர்.

Tears were unable to be controlled from her eyes; her throat was blocked.

🌼 அவளது கண்களில் இருந்து கண்ணீர் மலர்கள் தானாக வழிந்தன; அவளது தொண்டை முடங்கியது.

Her salty tears went into her mouth. She didn’t even take it into consideration!

🌸 அவளது உப்புத்தன்மையுள்ள கண்ணீர் வாய்க்குள் சென்று விட்டன; அதைக் கூட அவள் கவனிக்கவில்லை.

Soon James, who had hit him, had screamed so sadly.

🌹 விரைவில், சாமை அடித்த ஜேம்ஸ் வேதனையுடன் குரல் எழுப்பினான்.

It seemed as though he had realized his terrible mistake of hitting an honourable gentle person who can’t bear anyone’s tears.

🌷 அவன் தன் பயங்கரமான தவறை உணர்ந்தான்—ஒருவரின் கண்ணீரையும் சகிக்காத ஒரு மெல்லிய மனமுடைய மனிதனைத் தாக்கியதன் பாவத்தை.

He took a deep breath.

🌼 அவன் ஆழ்ந்த மூச்சு விட்டான்.

‘Sam! Sam! Sam! Please hit me back.

🌸 “சாம்! சாம்! சாம்! தயவு செய்து என்னை அடித்துவிடு.”

Please hit me back to make me happy again. I am not a good friend any more. I don’t deserve to be your friend.

🌹 “என்னை மீண்டும் சந்தோஷப்படுத்த அடித்துவிடு. நான் இனி நல்ல நண்பனல்ல. உன் நட்புக்குத் தகுதியற்றவன்.”

In fact, I had a horrible sleepless night all because of an unexpectedly unbearable painful plight.

🌷 “நேற்று இரவு நான் தூங்கவில்லை—தாங்க முடியாத துயரமான நிலை என்னை விழித்தவனாக்கியது.”

At that point, could I share my pain to a friend like you?”

🌼 “அந்த நேரத்தில், என் வேதனையை உன்னைப் போன்ற நல்ல நண்பருடன் பகிர முடியுமா?”

Everyone exclaimed and approached them. Sam hooked everybody in the way. He looked at him sympathetically in a great friendly manner.

🌸 அனைவரும் ஆச்சரியத்துடன் அவர்களிடமே வந்தனர்; சாம் மென்மையாக அவர்களைத் தடுத்து நின்றான்; ஜேம்ஸை அன்புடன், கருணையுடன் பார்த்தான்.

James carried on in saying,

🌺 ஜேம்ஸ் தொடர்ந்து கூறினான்—

“My sister, Renuga, did not want to come with me to a party without wearing jewels. She was really upset, so as a consequence, I had borrowed some from my relative on one condition. It should be returned in forty-eight hours.

🌸 “என் சகோதரி ரேணுகா நகைகள் இல்லாமல் விருந்துக்கு வர விரும்பவில்லை. அவள் கவலையடைந்தாள். எனவே, நான் என் உறவிலிருந்து சில நகைகளை கடனாக எடுத்தேன்—அது நாற்பத்தெட்டு மணி நேரத்துக்குள் திருப்பித் தர வேண்டும் என்ற நிபந்தனையுடன்.”

But… but nonetheless, on our way home a gang snatched the jewels from her neck and disappeared within seconds.”

🌹 “ஆனால்… வீடு திரும்பும் வழியில், ஒரு குழு அவளது கழுத்திலிருந்த நகைகளை பறித்து, கணம் கூடாமல் மறைந்துவிட்டது.”

Thereafter, he could not talk but was weeping without help, and then he

🌷 அதற்குப் பிறகு அவன் பேச முடியாமல் அழுதான்—உதவியில்லாமல், உடைந்த மனதுடன்.

“In these circumstances, you asked me why I felt sad in spite of me ignoring your question.

🌼 “அந்த சூழலில், நான் உன் கேள்விக்கு பதில் அளிக்காமல் இருந்த போதும், நீ என்னிடம் ஏன் துயரமாக இருக்கிறாய் என்று கேட்டாய்.”

You followed me and kept asking the same question repeatedly. I totally refused to respond.

🌸 “நீ தொடர்ந்து என்னைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து, அதே கேள்வியை மீண்டும் மீண்டும் கேட்டாய். ஆனால் நான் மௌனமாக இருந்தேன்.”

“However, in my maddened mind without my knowledge, I unexpectedly turned crazy! Please forgive me, can you”

🌺 “ஆனால் என் குழப்பமான மனதில், நான் எனக்கே தெரியாமல் பைத்தியமாகி விட்டேன்! தயவு செய்து என்னை மன்னித்துவிடு, முடியுமா?”

Oh dear! Sam was still calm like all the students.

🌸 ஓஹ்! சாம் அமைதியாக இருந்தான்—மாணவர்கள் போலவே, மலர்ந்த மௌனத்தில்.

Marina had been wiping away her hurtful pearls from her beautiful eyes.

🌷 மரினா தனது அழகான கண்களில் மலர்ந்த கண்ணீர் முத்துக்களை துடைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தாள்.

To everyone’s surprise, moments later, Sam came with a package.

🌼 சில நிமிடங்களில், அனைவருக்கும் ஆச்சரியமாக, சாம் ஒரு பாக்கெட் எடுத்துக் கொண்டு வந்தான்.

He came with a little parcel which was beautifully wrapped in pink paper. It was when he came for his evening class, and he gave it to James!

🌸 மாலை வகுப்புக்காக வந்தபோது, இளஞ்சிவப்பு காகிதத்தில் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட சிறிய பொட்டலத்தை ஜேம்ஸிடம் அளித்தான்.

Still, he was speechless, but thousands of words were emotionally expressed through his happy eyes!

🌺 ஜேம்ஸ் வாக்கில்லாமல் நின்றாலும், அவன் கண்களில் ஆயிரம் உணர்ச்சிகள் மலர்ந்தன!

No one was talking. No one was walking.

🌼 யாரும் பேசவில்லை. யாரும் நகரவில்லை.

It was silent, but in a divine way.

🌸 அது மௌனமாய் இருந்தது—ஆனால் தெய்வீக மௌனம் போல.

Silently James unwrapped the small packet in front of everyone. They all only heard clearly the soft unwrapping sound.

🌹 அமைதியாக ஜேம்ஸ் அந்தச் சிறிய பாக்கெட்டை திறந்தான்; அதன் மென்மையான சத்தம் மட்டுமே அனைவரும் கேட்டனர்.

They waited with curiosity. Their eyes were searching for that secret hidden within the pretty pink tissue in which the small packet was packed elegantly.

🌷 அனைவரும் ஆவலுடன் காத்திருந்தனர்; அழகான இளஞ்சிவப்பு காகிதத்தில் மறைந்திருக்கும் அந்த ரகசியத்தை அவர்கள் கண்கள் தேடின.

It was an exciting evening!

🌼 அது உண்மையில் பரபரப்பான ஒரு மாலை!

The curiosity to know the unknown gift on his classmates’ faces was crystal clear in their nice eyes.

🌸 அவருடைய நண்பர்களின் கண்களில்—அந்த அறியப்படாத பரிசை அறிய வேண்டிய ஆர்வம் தெளிந்த கண்ணாடி போல் தெரிந்தது.

The box contained the jewels that he had lost, but they were brand new!

🌺 பெட்டிக்குள் அவன் இழந்த நகைகள் இருந்தன—ஆனால் அவை புதிதாக ஒளிர்ந்தன!

Every single person was looking at Sam.

🌷 அனைவரும் சாமை நோக்கி நின்றனர்.

He was saddened overwhelmingly! Wow! Wasn’t he a sympathetic and friendly man of principle?

🌼 சாம் உணர்ச்சியால் நிரம்பி இருந்தான்! ஆஹா! எவ்வளவு கருணையுள்ள, நேர்மையான நண்பன்!

Simply he was an empowered emperor. He remained like a godly empowered silent saint. He sounded like a gentle saintly person!

🌸 அவன் ஒரு மன்னன் போல இருந்தான்—ஆனாலும் அமைதியான தெய்வீக ஞானி போல. அவன் மென்மையோ, மலரின் வாசனை போல.

Life is truly beautiful when witnessing acts of wonderful people.

🌺 அற்புதமான மனிதர்களின் செயலைக் காணும் போது, வாழ்க்கை உண்மையிலேயே அழகாக மலர்கிறது.

Marina was watching worriedly; tears ran on to her mouth!

🌷 மரினா கவலையுடன் பார்த்தாள்; கண்ணீர் அவளது வாய்வரை வழிந்தன.

Tasting the saltiness, she mopped away the tears quickly.

🌼 அந்த உப்புத்தன்மையை உணர்ந்தவுடன், அவள் கண்ணீரை விரைவாக துடைத்தாள்.

Then she noticed that every single person already noticed her tears!

🌸 பின்னர், அனைவரும் அவளது கண்ணீரைக் கவனித்துவிட்டார்கள் என்பதை அவள் உணர்ந்தாள்.
